Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Glaze:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8 x 8-inch pan. Place a piece of parchment in greased pan.
- Melt the butter and cocoa powder together in a medium saucepan.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until it is a smooth texture.
- Add in the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Pour into pan and smooth the top.
- Bake 25-30 minutes. When finished, remove from oven to cool.
- When cooled, cut and add glaze to top (directions for glaze preparation below).
Glaze:
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over meduim-low heat.
- Add cocoa powder and milk to melted butter; stir to combine.
- Gradually add the confectioners' sugar, stirring to a smooth, thick consistency.
