Fire Nation Sizzle Crisps

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking tray (with sides) with foil and place a wire rack onto the tray.
  2. Pour the sugar onto a large plate, spread it around, and fluff it with a fork.
  3. Open the bacon and cut all of the bacon in half. Using the fork or your hands, dredge each strip of bacon in the sugar and shake off any thick clumps. Lay the sugared strips on the wire rack and slide the tray into the preheated oven.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes and then carefully flip the strips over and bake for about 15 minutes more or until the bacon is no longer pink.
  5. Remove the tray and let cool about 5 minutes.
  6. Stack one row of strips together and transfer to a plate or cutting board. Cut into bite-sized pieces and then separate the pieces from one another. Repeat with the remaining bacon strips.
  7. Put all of the pieces in a plastic sandwich bag and sprinkle in some red pepper powder. Seal the bag and shake to coat the bacon pieces.
